Marauder Class Carrier

The Marauder Class Carrier was the primary vessel in the Imperial Navy during the First Empire. With a carrying capacity of 24 Hornets or 40 F-69 Fighters. Armed with numerous heavy plasma cannons, the Maurader became the carrier and warship of choice for the Empire.

Power Generation

The first models of the Marauder used fusion reactors to power the ship, though later generations used antimatter reactors or even later, dark energy harvesters. The ship required massive amounts of power to charge its warp drive, which often incorp

Propulsion

The Marauder almost exclusively used sublight engines produced by the Brooks Propulsion Company, but during wartime, other companies would be contracted to produce more engines.

Weapons & Armament

Marauder class vessels had 8 heavy plasma cannons and 32 light plasma cannons. The Marauder class also contained 8 torpedo tubes, and could carry nearly 100 heavy and WD torpedos.

Armor and defense

The Armor of the Marauder class is molecularly reinforced titanium, which can withstand heavy plasma blasts to a certain extent. Point defense guns are used, but can't defend against plasma weaponry, and magnetic shielding protects the ship from the bulk of the charged plasma blasts.

Communication Tools & Systems

Marauder Class ships used almost exclusively sublight communications. Due to the fact that Marauders usually only patrolled around orbital stations with warp communications or participated in battle groups with supercarriers that had warp communications, installing warp communication on Marauders became redundant.

Additional & auxiliary systems

Many Marauder Class ships could carry an additional Crusader Dropship in the bridge tower.

Hangars & docked vessels

The Marauder carried 2 Crusader dropships in the side hangers, and carried a total of either 24 Hornets or 40 F-69s.
