Dode Maliha Solace (a.k.a. Mal)

From a young age, Maliha was placed in a role of leadership, guiding her and her peers as best she could through adversity, so when she was chosen as Dode, there was no surprise. For 20 years she led her Flock, in the heat of battle and through quiet, draining negotiations. Many account her Flock's survival entirely to her leadership.
When she was younger, teachers and students alike remarked on her incredible skill in all sorts of places, like archery, debate, Linguistics, and, most of all, leadership. She has always behaved like the world rested on her shoulders, taking the responsibility of anything that goes wrong and working to fix it as best she can. This need to protect and do well is good, but she often takes it too far, sacrificing her own needs for the needs of others. Her Flock recognized this and placed one of their own in a position built specifically to help her, even when she doesn't want it.
Her partner became Koa Adair, a sweet, quieter man with incredible discernment and no desire to back down when he believes himself in the right.

Romance

In all the time spent together, Maliha began to develop feelings for Koa, Much to her own disgust. He, however, thought it was adorable and reciprocated those feelings. While it never came to marriage, those two have been together for 10 years.

Her face is not her best quality, that much is true, however, it isn't her worst either. It looks rather plain when looking at it straight on, with thin lips and average, black eyes. Her face is one everyone could have, but it conveys her every emotion beautifully as if written on a blank page.

Every Avians pride and Joy is their wings and Maliha is no different. Whatever beauty she lacks in her face is more than made up for in her wings. Long, sleek feathers, starting from deep speckled navy mixed in with rows of cream and black before fading into a truly jaw-dropping teal in pinions. Both are incredibly strong, yet their slight diminished size makes them perfect for diving and climbing, a much-desired skill. Many have been absolutely dazzled by her wings, and she takes incredible care of them, even more so than the average Avian.
