Ice Waif

Ice waifs originate from the frigid north. They are on a whole calmer than their counterparts. They have retained the most of their previous appearance, just made of ice instead. Ice waifs are calculating, and are solid in their beliefs. Those that know about them are hesitant to trust them. Their connection to the ice element and consequently the ice queen makes people wary of their presence, and as such makes them slow to trust. However Ice waifs are truthful people, but their words are rarely listened to. Their connection to their absent past is the most dangerous of all, remembering even one thing could mean their demise.

Like other Spirit, ice waifs have an inherent connection to their element: Ice. They also have a strong connection to other magics as well, letting them use it to their will. This connection will grow faint when using their inherent magics for personal gain, causing spells to falter or fail completely.

Changes in Anatomy

Ice Waifs, Like other spirits, take much of their old form, However, for the ice waif, they are made entirely out of ice and snow. Their hair is bleached snow white but occasionally it retains streaks of its original color for a while.

Powers

Ice waifs have the ability to float and go intangible when they concentrate hare enough. They have an affinity with ice and snow related magic, able to create temporary living creatures of snow, and manipulate ice into anything they can imagine with enough practice.

Dietary changes

While the do not necessarily need to eat anything, they do enjoy eating cirtain food that they enjoyed in their life. However, they can not eat anything warm or they risk melting from the inside, essentially dying again.

External Relations

Cultures

Ice Waifs are supremely respectful of their neighboring cultures. They are often on the outside of things, but enjoy learning about the world around them. When chastised they edit their behavior to appease the culture around them to the best of their ability. When meeting another of their race it is customary to exchange whatever information you have learned about the cultures you have been in.
Honesty is a large value, no ice waif would dream of lying to another spirit if they met one. Most take their jobs very seriously and they devote much of their time to figuring out what exactly they need to do.
When born, Ice waifs are presented with a series of choices which determines their commanding Reaper. This then determines the path they are meant to take for the rest of their existence on this plane.

Any true traditions and customs an Ice Waif may demonstrate is taken from their hosts. They don’t live around enough other spirits to develop any.

Courtship

Just like their other relationships, if an Ice waif is to be courted, they need to have a solid relationship with the counter. Ice waifs are not likely to start a romantic relationship, so it up to the other to let them know they are actually being courted.

Dangers

Ice waifs avoid heat like the plague. Due to them being made of Ice, they will melt. This concept even applies to their thoughts. After their “birth” everything is cold and comfortable, their former life feels like a burning bright light in the back of their mind. Lingering on this sensation for too long They can go insane or even fade from existence.
