Earth Genasi: proof rock can live. No, in all seriousness, Earth Genasi are, like all other genasi, mixures of flesh and stone. This can appear in many different fashions, from stone skin to crystal growths coming out of their bones. They are strong, sturdy folk with patience and enough communal instincts to protect everyone around them.
Earth Genasi are probably the least emotionally driven out of their kind, but they are also logical, sequential thinkers that will make a good decision and stick with it.

Biology

Their bodies are a mixture of stone, earth, and flesh, mixing together in a strange somehow fuctioning mix. The usual mix is someform of stone skin or bones with compressed earth packed under the skin, fuctioning almost like muscles but not quite. It provides cusioning, allowing them better duribility in almost every circumbstance.
They can have crystal growths prouting from the bone and splitting the skin, but they usually come with age. Their bones are thick and durrable, hard to break.

Anatomy

Facial Features

Earth Genasi have the strongest, harshest features out of all the other genasi. Large, strong noses, usually with an upwards curve or wide nostril. Heavy, deep set brows and eye sockets with round, solid eyes. their jaws are usually square and solid going down into a thick, defined chin. their forehead is usually wide with defined structure.
Their neck is thick and study, capable of holding up a full head of crystals if it came down to that.

Coloring

Their skin tones tend to stick towards the stone-greys, marbled whites, and earthy soil-browns. They have an even pigmintation, changing only when with a different stone type, such as crystal growths.
Their hair tends to be dark, in the browns, blacks, and greys, though there have been cases of white or rose colored hair when the genasi involved has a connection to the lighter crystals.

Hair

For the most part, Earth Genasi have actual keratin hair. some will have crystal growing along their hairline and spine. In some cases, that crystal can spread upwards and around, completely surrounding the head and giving them a complete crystal head of "hair". While not a medical thing, some people like the look, some don't. removal is not painful, just a little more involved than just cutting hair.
Some rare cases have a soft skull of compressed dirt. given the nutricious nature of their soil, it makes the perfect seeding ground for iyoung plants. Those with this condition often make themselves a living terarium of all sorts of plants. most choose moss or low flowers, but some have managed to grow wisteria and other vines for a long-haired look. It's important to note that these plants are not naturally apart of their bodies, simply a cool cosmetic choice.

Stages of Life

Babies

Earth Genasi babies are made almost entirely of crumbling earth and stone that screams when upset. their bodies are constandly reshaping themselves, changing joints and builds. If they come in contact with water they can go slick like clay or if they smack their hand on something too hard it can crumble away before their stone skin has a chance to fully form around it.

Toddlers

At 2, all this fades away. their bodies settle in a form and solidify into a typical toddlers. then, they just...behave like a toddler. their brains are working rapidly to acustom themselves to all the new information its getting all the time.

Childhood

Childhood officially starts at age 3. Durring this time, the genasi develope along the same way as a human prepubecent child, just...longer. they grow to their final height, and expirience the bodily shifts that usually come with human puberty but without the hormal additions. This goes until 18 years of age.

Adolecence

At 18 they enter the genasis version of puberty. in short, their body takes on that maluable quality they had as children, only not as extreme. in this time, their inherent magic returns to them and their body gets readjusted to functioning with it. durring this time, children are usually sent to specific schools to teach them the skills they need.
Earth Genasi are able to minutely resculp their external bodies to their prefrences. Only durring the beginning periods though, before their skin has a chance to harden once again.

Adulthood

At 20, an Earth Genasi is considered a full grown adult. At this age, they can legaly take office, drink alcohol, and have a family.

Elderly

Around 80 years old the Earth genasi begin to feel the effects of their old age. at first, their bodies begin erroding and changing when they were babies. their skin becomes britle and maluable. if they aren't careful, they can knock full limbs off. Then, once thier skin and flesh harden up again, they get cracks and dry, flakey skin. At this point, the Genasi have 5 more years max, though few live that long.

Average Physique

out of all the Nature Kind, Earth Genasi scored the highest on physical competency and endurance. They are built to last, down to the very nature of their biomatter. yet, what makes them sturdy also makes them dense and slow. Their dexterity scores remained below average at best. They are not quick people.

Average Intelligence

They scored about average on all the intelligence tests. They tended to be slower processors with a good memory. their lowest catagory was the speed round, to no surprise, but they were able to hold on to a large amount of information and apply it in critical thinking with above average accuracy.

Geographic Distrobution

Being durrible people, they can live pretty much everywhere. Earth Genasi are found almost everywhere, on all parts of the continent. There are large communities in Ealdora and Paop wah, as well as in Yukron and the ahp lewab.
they tend to prefer temperate climates instead of the extremes, and they usually avoid coastal regions due to the humidity. humidity can make them sprout or crack causing irritation.
