Ancient History of Thalia

According to the wisest of Druids of the Druid’s Keep in Wonning, the gods once roamed the world an untold number of ages ago. Their numbers were vast, beyond current comprehension, covering the face of the land. Their power was even greater than their number, wielding powerful magics that could tame the earth, water, and sky. They built massive and beautiful homes that they filled with wonders.   In time these old gods grew bored with their existence. A few, the creator gods we know and worship, conspired and made the races of Thalia, shaping them with their own godly blood. Their new creations filled their days with the entertainment they so badly craved. All the while their brethren gods filled their days warring upon one another, always vying for each other’s domains and power.   The creator gods foresaw the coming devastation the warring gods were brewing and hid themselves and their favored creations deep beneath the earth. Within time the warring gods brought the suun down upon the face of the land, burning all including themselves. The creator gods safe beneath the earth remained in hiding for an age to ensure their fellows were truly gone in fear they would merely continue their senseless warring, this time upon them.   In an age, the creator gods emerged secure they were safe from their violent brethren. In the following age the gods remained, walking alongside their creations and rebuilding the world. Although small in number, the gods worked their wonders and created a better world for themselves and their blood creations. This world they named Thalia after the most powerful and knowledgeable amongst them. All lived in peace and their creation’s numbers grew.   The beginning of the next age was marked by the betrayal by the jealous god, Nergal. Seeing that the violent nature was still within their numbers the gods Ascended back to the skies where they first came, leaving to their creations the world they built, never again to directly interfere with the world they left.
