The first scion to be officially raised entirely separately from their parents.

Also the first orphan to be born since the Sundering lost a third of the population. Before this, the children were still raised by their parents, but it was understood that the computer would not assign them a spouse unless the situation changed.   Now, it's deemed better to have them raised separately, as they will probably either end up being a maintenance working with no spouse or children, or else become a replacement for someone else specific who died. After all, we have specific quotas to maintain. Balances to keep.   "It's fair and balanced" is the phrase of the day. Giving up your additional children will spare the pain of raising them when they might just become someone else's child. It's also deemed a kind of boon to the scion population. They can't have kids of their own, but they can raise these kids.
