Thaerrathas

The World has Ended… Or at least it tried to. This world, Thaerrathas, was torn asunder 500 years ago when hellfire rained down from the heavens. Now, strange interdimensional events happen on the regular and the world is dominated by a barren wasteland filled with horrors from beyond the cosmos.   Only the strong survive.   The world of Thaerrathas, is a realm of monsters, warfare, death, and spirits. It is a dying world where everything is clinging to the barest potential of continued survival. The setting consists of the planet Thaerrathas, its 6 moons, and several Planes. The planet of Thaerrathas is almost entirely a wasteland save for a few small pockets of life, the current area of focus are the lands of Gordia, which consists of the Sea of Silt, the Grottos of Gloom, and the Autumn Empire.   There are many intelligent Species on Thaerrathas, none of which are limited to certain lands or cultures. You can be anyone from anywhere.   On Thaerrathas everything that is, is alive. Every rock and tree and creature and most other things that exist naturally in the world has a life, a spirit, and name. Most of these Spirits are dormant, lest the natural world is defiled.   Arcane Magic is considered a taboo with most people. What people know of arcane magic was learned from observing the horrors of the Aberrant Wastes. Many consider wielding the powers that brought Thaerrathas to ruin to be in poor form.   There are many Faiths on Thaerrathas, but gods of Celestial origin are things of a bygone era. Most people on Thaerrathas who practice faith instead worship Elemental or Monstrous beings from other planes of existence.   Hanging in the sky above Thaerrathas are 6 moons, connected to Thaerrathas through portals.
