Notes

• Why did the Obsidian mines get shut down over 1,000 years ago? 
• Found papers of over 500 years old that said "defense of the mines" and "attempting to assassinate" but none of the rest were able to be read. These were found in the Fort the halfling was claiming as his home.
• A lot of former Elven leaders were assassinated from over 1,000 years ago and it continued to regularly happen as recently as 500 years ago.
• History of the Portal Stone was discovered by the Dwarves during the Era of the Old Gods. Some who have touched the stone had jumped to the future anywhere from 100 years to over 1,000 years in the blink of an eye. Francis thinks the stone could be linked to Obras death. He also thinks it might be linked to the disappearing Nobles of the past.
• Vermin, monsters, other dangers, and unable to find obsidian in working mines as well as economic reasons are written as the reasons for why the mines were shut down.
• Dark Old Gods members (4) were looking for Obras. Obras had come out telling people he knew some new information a couple months before. It may have peaked the interests of some people.
• The party has no idea how many people know that there might be some mines ready to re-open.
• Ancient Kiton smithed dagger was used in the attack on Obras.
