A soft-hearted individual, Néa is often sidelined by the people around her. When a member of the Emethan council suggests consulting former teacher Elijah Kune on how to bring back spring, Néa volunteers to search for him in hopes of gaining their approval.

Personal history
As a baby, Néa was found in a basket on the doorstep of the High Temple. The only thing she had with her was a note detailing her full name, Asthenéa Nassah, and asking the clergy to take care of her. The High Priest and the temple staff took her in and raised her among the students there.
When Néa was five, she underwent The Ceremony of Choosing. However, she was not chosen to be entered into The School of Theological Studies. Despite this, Néa continued to live at the High Temple, forcing her to have continued interaction with the students, which served as a bitter reminder of her rejection. Néa was often looked down on by her peers because of this, and at times even mocked for her inadmitance to the school, as well as her orphanhood. All these events, caused Néa to develop a rejection mindset.
Things somewhat got better however, as one of the teachers, Master Elijah Kune, took a liking to her and started tutoring her privately, defying the Order's traditions. Over time, Néa's relationship with Master Kune extended beyond that of an ordinary teacher-student mentorship, and their relationship started to become familial. This however, did not last for more than a few months, as Kune disappeared from the High Temple, following his excommunication. Néa never understood why he'd never said goodbye to her and interpreted it as him rejecting her.
These perceived rejections caused Néa to doubt her own self-worth, and she compensated by developing a people-pleaser behavior.

From the age of five up to the present, Néa attended the School of Theological Studies, learning among many others how to be a good follower of Emeth, how to operate in the spirit realm, and how to wage war against Anan and his forces of evil. In addition to this, she also underwent the Natural Studies: education equivalent to normal school.

Néa's full name, Asthenéa Nassah, translates to "weakness-bearer", an unfortunate title that has plagued her identity since she learned the meaning of her name. Growing up, her name was often used as a pejorative by other kids at the High Temple for whenever they found her irritating.

Néa has the fear of man, meaning she is afraid of speaking the truth to other people for fear of judgment and rejection.
Néa also carries with her the baggage of her name and the emotional and spiritual wounds people gave her because of it.

Asthenéa is a believer in the Shalotheis, or "Divine Three", having been raised in the High Temple most of her life. However, she holds something of a grudge against the "Divine Three" for not choosing her to become a priest(and all the suffering it's caused her in life).
