The siege of Fort Ammbral

The forest is littered with carnage, gore and shells. Red, khaki and silver are the new colors of what was once a peaceful, luscious forest, which has now become the stage of a full-blown invasion. The air which would normally carry the sounds of a large waterfall, small rivers and nature's wildlife is now a hellish symphony of screams, explosions and gunfire, there's no coming back from this.   Two parties fight each other over a mere difference in lifestyle and belief, but at this point its undeniable which side will win. The dead of the losing side are scattered across the forest and the faces of the fighters are grim with despair and pain, but they refuse to give up.   With a certainty of victory the winning side has gained a morale boost and is fighting their enemies with more determination. Some have succumbed to a frenzy and are carelessly charging any enemy without a care for their own safety, while others fight merely for the sake of survival.   The toll on both nature and humanity is devastating. It'll likely take years before this forest will have recovered. It's clear blood, gore and bodies have taken the place of flowers, plants and shrubs.
— A recounting of the final assault
The siege of Fort Ammbral was an integral to the retreat Yormir's allegiance on the Southeastern tip of Chilia. Lead by both Ikkeria and Corvin, the siege lasted over the span of two months, and approximately 30,000 members of Magrad's remaining army partook with aide from Ritanhoesia's Blackguard. The goal of the siege was to retake Fort Ammbral, which is situated directly in the middle of the country. If the fort were to be retaken the Union would lose it's only viable airport, and would effecitvely be landlocked and picked off. As such, the base was deemed a high priority target for the forces of Magrad.   The siege was lead by General Corvin, where his forces managed to push the Union's army back to the walls of the fort over the course of a week. A stalemate of three weeks saw Magrad's forces losing soldiers, morale, and supplies, while the Union received a steady supply of equipment and food. Hope was found in the form of Ikkeria, leader of the Trapjaw ant reinforcments. She knew that the Union had no idea that they'd arrived, and would also not have updated the fort's subterranean defenses. She and her soldiers tunneled their way into the storage rooms, where they stole, sabotaged, and poisoned their enemies supplies and food over the course of three weeks. To avoid suspicions, weak and starving soldiers were periodically sent as a distraction. In the final week of the siege, the Magrad soliders, Trapjaw reinforcements, and Blackguard launched a brutal assault that ended in the surrender of the Union.
