Wren the Songbird of Vesk

Wren the Songbird of Vesk Wren Graybell

Wren was born a servant in what is now the ancient castle but was orignally Vesk's capital before the seige of the undead. Her mother was servant to a Veskan noble Lord and Lady Harrow and her father was a stable hand. Wren followed her mothers position and became their noble servant after her mother died when she was thirteen. Throughout her life she showed incredible talent with a lute and Lord and Lady Harrow bought her one to play for them for her thirteenth birthday after her mothers death. When Wren was nineteen the army of corpses attacked the castle and laid siege to the city. Wren escaped with Lord and Lady Harrow and the rest of the court and witnessed Adrianna in her infamous Black Warrior armor holding of the corpses for them to escape. Wren was amazed by the bravery of the mysterious warrior in black armor and as the war against the army of corspes progressed she wrote many songs about the warrior. She dubbed him the Black Warrior in her ballads. Lord and Lady Harrow were killed in a battle leaving Wren with no one to serve and no more ties to King Crow's court. She moved to a smaller town near the new city Crow built after the end of the war and continued to perfect her music and perform in the town square for coins as a way to make money as she had no desire to marry. She began to make a lot of money as many recognized her talent. She was eventually invited to perform at King Crows new castle and she performed the ballad of the Black Warrior for the first time in front of Crows entire court including Adrianna who unbeknownst to Wren is secretly the Black Warrior. The beautiful piece had an astouding impact on Adrianna and she declared the musician to be the best in all of Vesk. Wren went on to become an incredibly talented and renound musician throughout Vesk and even Morelest. She died at 56 towards the end of her career from an unidentifyable illness that healers were unable to fix.

Good start to an article. It could use some art, my general go-to is hero forge, but i know others use artbreeder as well. Also the first section could use some paragraph breaks, if just to make it less " big block of text."

Feel free to stop by some of my WorldEmber articles if you want. My favorites are The Book of the Unquiet Dead, Outpost of the Moons, and The Emerald Hills. Feedback is always appreciated.

Great bones for an article! Make sure to come back and explain who Lyla is as she is only mentioned in the sidebar. Some paragraph breaks and sentence reformatting would be useful in the main article to make it easier to read through.

It just occurred to me that a description in the main body of the article would also be nice.

A nice start already. I would divide the introduction section in smaller paragraphs though and perhaps expand on each part of her life a bit. The prompt sections are bit short and you could perhaps expand them a bit or make your own to create some extra section.   I also wonder who Lyla is since she is not mentioned in the main body of the article.

Feel free to check my new world Terra Occidentalis if you want to see what I am up to!

Lovely character! :D   I must say the attack of the living corpses took me by surprise. When Wren escapes with the Lord and Lady with only her remaining alive, I'm getting suspicious. How did that happen? Did she manage to run while everyone was distracting the enemy, or did she leave them to die, which is a shameful secret?   Adrianna's name is revealed too early — she is described as a black warrior but in the following sentence called mysterious. The Life information in the sidebar is off by three years regarding the other data.   I like how you included information on the character and showed how life, actions, and feelings of Wren influenced Adrianna and her future. That extended her life beyond death and not only for her work but, more importantly, for the person she was.   Thank you for a good read!

Nice character :D Her playing the ballade in front of he princess who inspired it as fun! Any reason why the princess kept her identity secret from everyone?
