Although the infamous 'City of Sin' undoubtedly once deserved its reputation for lawlessness and debauchery, the curtailing of privateering  has enabled us to restore some semblance of law and order here. While the town still retains a somewhat free-spirited disposition, trade continues to grow apace.

Geography

Benefiting from a clement climate and the abundant natural resources of a virgin continent, Port Cardyn is one of the largest settlements in the New World. The deep, leeward waters of Slaughter Bay, provide a natural sheltered anchorage for ships harboring at the rapidly-growing port.

Industry & Trade

The town is a hub for slave trading, and exports include gold, silver, spices and, more recently, Duskglow Creeper products. Port Cardyn is a major staging post for gold diggers, former privateers, merchants, prostitutes, slavers and plantation owners, all lured here by the promise of a rich, new life.
