The Empress Code

Eve Chisel (a.k.a. The Empress Code)

Profile
Eve Chisel, The Empress Code. She bears an ability born from her intrinsic connection to technology and scorn towards those who dare impede her from information. She had lost both her parents, and became the president of the influential Chisel Industries, however in title only and at an immature age. She quickly became nothing more than a figurehead and puppet to the greed and ambition of company board members, any attempts to exercise her theoretic authority being met with dismissal or strategic undermining. The turning point only occurred once she was deemed a large enough nuisance to merit a forged will and assassination. It was this event that catalyzed her power in all senses, as well as a heart as cold as the machines her company developed. Pragmatic by nature, she works with efficiency and ruthlessness. Her past left her rather cynical and distrusting, nearing the border her former manipulators had far tread past. Incredibly intimidating and ambitious, few can contend with her in figurative or literal combat, her sublime ingenuity and shrewd nature dominating the whatever field she merely deigns to step upon. However, her heart has yet to become truly mechanical, this shining through her indominable integrity, and just as her harshness was sparked by betrayal, perhaps its inverse may inspire otherwise.
Without her remnant, her ability is called "Codex Authority", an EA, and manifests as an earpiece she can use to interface and maniplulate electronic or etherious machines, able to take data from them and recode them if they have the characteristic of a computer. She is even able to manipulate broken and unpowered devices, repairing and charging them as long as it is under her control. Her remnant, Eva, was born from a strong desire for information and the power it holds.

Eva, The Visionary
The master of this remnant fears the scarcity that once left her head at the end of a turret. This remnant accumulates strength of any kind, strength in knowledge, strength in authority, strength in violence, anything that may render all that which dared to threaten her obsolete. It has now become an impregnable fortress of cold machinery that eradicates those who encroach upon its master's rule, closing off its core with ever-evolving defenses whose grandeur impresses upon onlookers the icon of a mechanical star. With each new strength collected, the greater a distance grows and the colder its interior becomes, yet it persists endlessly in its accumulation. But, all things have a breaking point, and it is unknown if either remnant or master know or care of this fact, as though its voracious eyes grant great focus, great focus begets equally great blindness. What should one do when their sight is what blinds them? whatever the answer be, it best be found soon, as the collapse of a star will bring great destruction to far more that just it
Eva has a variety of forms to take due to its ever evolving form. It's "heart" however, manifests as a mechanical sphere only slight larger than a person's head covered in turning gears that perpetually shift around its surfaces. The unbound ability, Empress Code, allows Eva to analyze any other technology and create a replica of any machine it has analyzed in the past. Oftentimes the machines manifested are additions to Eva's main body, but can be manifested separately as well. It can use the analyzed information to develop new technologies to use as well, further advancing its technological sophistication. These constructs require a lot of energy to create and sustain, so Eva often recalls them after use to mitigate some of it's cost.
Style and Abilities

In a combat scenario Eve is an incredibly powerful renaissance whose mere presence can deter even the most powerful of threats. Her power lies in its abundance and output, able to overwhelm nearly all should she decide to. She's nigh untouchable on the battle field simply due to the sheer scale it can operate on; calling her a tank amongst guns would be inaccurate as its and understatement and she can create tanks at will. There are very few people who can hold a candle to her in terms of pure force when down to the wire, she has tools for any scenario, whether it be precision attacks or complete bombardment, her technology can overcome any obstacle, usually through annihilation.
Unless you can vaporize a building, the only way to have a smidgen of a chance against her would be ambush and subterfuge, though her tactical mind and intelligence may make that seemingly insurmountable. But, all of her seemingly endless strength only applies when she's at her peak, as energy reserves as great as hers have an equally great caveat that it takes ages to fully replenish. It would be wise to engage when her ether stores have been in any way depleted, but such a situation is as rare as her defeat. Furthermore, as as great and dangerous the magnitude of her power is, an agile opponent may last longer than others as especially with her, as precision is sacrificed for power. Maneuverability is also a sacrificed at the greater heights of her power, as though its grants the defense and firepower of a fortress, it grants its mobility too. Just as a regular person may struggle swat a fly or long-ranged artillery can destroy a sluggish tank, a skilled combatant who can identify and exploit her weakness regardless of her degree of output may find the opportunity of a decisive strike.

Physical Description

Special abilities

Eve's abilities make her invaluable in the modern day as technology is very prominent in the modern era. She can completely manipulate and direct the functions of machines without much effort as well as writing code and programming machines purely with her ability. Along with Eva's massive library of analyzed machines to Eve's disposal, she has an extremely versatile utility. It takes only a few moments for a machine to be constructed and recalled, but if its destroyed, the ether used to create will be lost to Eve. These machines are also incapable of functioning outside of Eve's range, becoming inactive if too far. Though it takes no effort to sustain the machine's physicality, keeping it powered slowly drains her of ether stores. Eve's ability can only power ether or electrical machines while gas, steam or other types are unavailable to her. Especially low-tech or simple machines such as intricate clockwork is difficult to manipulate as well as any technology she cannot understand or anything masquerading as a machine.

Specialized Equipment

It would be pointless to try to describe or catalogue Eve's complete arsenal as even she may have forgotten the true extent of what she has access to, but she does have a few favorites. Hating to dirty her own hands, she often fights by manifesting parts of Eva to weaponize such as large mechanical arms that orbit around her and are usually filled with a variety of weapons themselves, manifesting other technologies should she deem fit.

History

Akura was taken in by Eve after he was ostracized by his family, the two becoming almost mother and son despite a poor veneer of professionalism the two unsuccessfully try to maintain. Eve gladly provides everything Akura needs while he continues his training as a hunter under her, and they quite enjoy each other's company. However, this arrangement is not without its complications. Eve is the type of person who needs someone to give love to, this person being Akura, and this love manifesting as complete monetary and professional support as well protection from harm, but Akura is the type of person to be deathly afraid of being burdensome to another and is always trying to become more self-sufficient. It is unknown if the two know this about each other or if such incompatible polarities both based in care can be reconciled, but regardless of any such complexities, the two simply wish to smile with one another.

Nicknames & Petnames

Eve was the one who helped Akura choose new names. His legal name "Clara" after characters in the ballet's that made him recognized, and "Akura" as a replacement for his old stage name "Olimpia", though it has become less of a stage name an more a nickname.

History

Eve took Nikkos as a hunting apprentice of sorts after his initial outburst and hired his parents are her personal horticulturalists, giving the family that stayed by Nikkos' side livelihood and safety. This was in part a way to sedate Nikkos, to prevent another outburst and keep him from the "dedicated institutions" that often deal with similar situations and were clamoring to "help" him, hopefully helping him to gain full control over a power that rivals ever hers in strength. Though, this also done in part out of a sense of guilt and responsibility, as some of her subordinates played a part in pushing the Poplar family to a breaking point which culminated in Nikkos awakening as a renaissance. Nikkos is aware of the circumstances around their relationship, his emotions cluttered with feelings of affection, admiration, as well as anger and confusion. Despite the hodgepodge of contradicting sentiments, Nikkos still respects her greatly, considering her an honorary family member and strictly upholds the promise Eve asked him to keep, that being not to kill again. Eve reciprocates similar conflicting sentiments, moved by the compassion she's seen Nikkos demonstrate time and time again while also somewhat scared of the catastrophe she knows Nikkos may bring about.

History

Their positions in society have made their meeting an inevitability rather than chance. Collaboration and connection between them have been mutually beneficial. Eve was naturally apprehensive at first, this only exhasturbated by Poppy being a rebaissance, but eventually relaxed due to Poppy's friendship with Akura. Regardless, Eve keeps an eye on her and any other remnant she knows of.
