White-sparrow

The Valley of Giants is a home to many fearsome creatures, ravenous bears, menacing yetis and peaceful giants. It is also the home of a humble town called White-sparrow named after a local migrating little bird. It is said that the first settlers were Anorian people, who came to this cold harsh valley to fortify the north against Orlando()'s conquest. Although today it is apart of his empire, Orlando decided to spare the locals and leave the name of the city as it is, in exchange for annual shipment of rare gems and minerals   Today, white-sparrow is famous for its ski-sites, with thousands of tourists from Gertia visiting every weekend. Its economy is based on production of minerals from the nearby mountains, being the biggest stone producers outside of Monta-ves.

The legend of white-sparrow

The locals have suffered horrible taxes in whitesparrow and discrimination outside of it. To provide the gems Orlando demanded meant the men of Whitesparrow needed to mine day and night. The leader of the community, an elderly shaman from house Bakran, summoned a geine in a mystic ritual – who provided him three wishes. Knowing genies are sinister tricksters, Bakran decided to wish for only one – “make my men stop digging” he sayed “and provide Orlando his damned ores”. The genie approved of his wish and vanished laughing. The next day the shaman woke up to horrific reality – all of the men in whote-sparrow except for him were turned into solid statues of gold, silver, ruby and sapphire. When the troops from the empire came, they took them to be broken and melted in jewlery without hesitation.   The town of white-sparrow was populated slowly over the years by outsiders from the empire. The city remained but its Anorian culture was lost. The shaman died son-less and heart broken. This was three hundred years ago
