Terrea
Compared to earth, Terrea is a small world about quarter in size. It contains a single and large continent named Lardon, that is divided both geographically and culturally into north and south, and a few islands, the biggest one being Gertia which rose to a point of dominance in the recent century. Terra offer all kinds of terrains from mountains to forests, desserts to swamps, grasslands to hills. It is a magical land, inhabited by animals monsters and humanoids, and kept save by ancient gods and elements. Lately some kingdoms who grew larger and stronger than expected by the celestials powers and are begging to shape Terrea as well.
The known part of Terra is the great continent of Lardon and the island of Gertia west to it. No man have survived a trip to the northern or western sea, nor south the infinit desert or east into the orcish tribes in the forest. Compared to earth, Terra is not much bigger than Europe.
Seasons
A season is a division of the year marked by changes in weather, ecology, and amount of daylight. Unlike earth, Seasons in the world of Terrea are not in result of the planet orbit around the sun. Instead, very powerful elementals fighting in an eternal war of territory and respect, and when a certain season wins and take the place of another, it results in change of season as we know it on earth. In a result of the different physical being of this season, predicting the weather is extremely difficult but certainly possible with the use of cleric and druids. In certain point of history, powerful season have taken territory in the world and did not move away for years and sometimes centuris. there are parts of the world who have the same season for a millennia now. These parts are usually rather small, like the mountains of Tolkia in Lardon.Meteorology and astrology
Terrea, much like Saturn, have a planetary ring system surrounding it which is visible in the sky during the day. Astrologists believe that it is made of space dust and tiny meteors orbiting around Terra. Looking at a clear night sky, finding shooting stars is a very common thing and meteor showers are a weekly phenomenon. Many folks around the world have witnessed meteors reaching into the atmosphere and hitting the distant land, and many pantheons and folklore include legends of dangerous beasts and precious metal found in carters. These stories are partly true – it is possible to use these exotic materials to cast devious magic, but understanding and controlling this meteors have proved to be frustratingly difficult. Icar (International celestial administration of research) is the biggest order of knowledge in the matters of astrology, not only collecting the meteors themselves but discovering the solar system and discovering new planets as well.Amara, the first moon
Amar is the larger of the two moons that circles Terrea. Amara is named after the godess of the moon, who some belive to live there by herself, and some belive to be to moon itslef.
Everlon, ths econd moon
Everlone is the second and smallest moon of Terrea. It is visible every day of the year, as a very small and green dot in the sky, barely noticeable. The moon is the home of The sons of Sepharon , who live mostly in the coast city Sepharon-City. A green ocean covers 80 percent of its surface, and the rough terrain that remain is infertile. Unlike Terrea, on Everlone does not have any Season elementals on it, and the air is mostly still and cold. The moonsun
Depends on the time of the year, one can see two suns in the blue sky of Terrea. This second sun, sometime known as the moonsun, is a smaller but still dominant source of white light is present in shifting period, but astrologists are able to predict it to be present between a third to a quarter of the year (of tolkian callanders). The moonsun appear in different cultures completely different, sometimes as a goddess in certain druidic circles and sometimes as a literal hole in the sky create by demons. Today, many painters and poets use it as a subject in their art, usually as a romantic symbol or as beautiful phenomena of nature.Remove these ads. Join the Worldbuilders Guild
