Elves

After the events of the great war and the fall of Anoria, the elven society has fell from its past grace. Most elves today are either immigrants looking for shelter in Gertia or scavengers in the ruins of their old kingdom. Although elves can reach to the age of 800, and some time even one thousand, they were sloughed in the millions during the great war. Today, to find an elf older than 400 is quite rare.   Before he was burned, Apirus was the most common elven god. Elvish druids used as his clerics spread his wisdom around the continent, and an avatar he chose served as king. After the kingdom fell Apirus died, a lot of elves searched different gods to worship: today the forest is the most poplar one (for the elves that stayed in Lardon) and the Kuthnari. Some elves completely lost their faith in gods.

Wood elves

The wood elves are the most common type of elves. Their skin-tone changes from light greenish to a bluish hue. They are very slender and share the Hight of humans. These elves were the core of the ancient kingdom of Anoria and were the first druids, led by an Avatar who served the God Apirus, and bridged between the mortal world and the ever-existing nature.

High elves

These are more human-looking creatures, with complexion that resembles the human skin tones from white to brown. The high elves are taller than the average human by a few centimeters but are still slender as any elf. They’re ears are even pointier and longsd than the wood-elves. High elves culture revolves more about magic, academy, crafts and mastery then their more spiritual brothers the wood elves. Traditionally, the counsil of advisers to the avatar king were exclusively high elves. This combination of spirituality and logic is what truely made Anoria great.   Thanks to their superior intellect and modern mind-set, the high elves quickly blend in to the western culture, some of them even climbing to the peak of high society in the merchant alliance.

Half-elves

“To humans, half elves look like elves, and to elves, they look like human. In Hight they’re on par with both parents, though they’re neither as slender as elves nor broad as humans.” These is how the D&D 5 books describe the half-elves which is very true to this fictional world: although biologically speaking, half elves could be born as long as elves and humans were alive, it was a very rare (and the time, repulsing) thing to see in the ancient world. Today half-elves are newly created race – a byproduct that happened by the great migrations of elves to Gertia. Although in the merchant alliance and Orlando they have the same rights as anyone else, they are considered inferior by many. High elves can be born by a parent of either by high or wood elves. That means their Hight, ear-length and skin-color can come in a lot of different shapes and colors, depending on one’s ancestry.
