Religions of Terrath is a document by the infamous traveling Scholar Athilious of Santon. He is the same scholar that wrote down and spread the word of Drae's Laws, one of the biggest scientific breakthroughs ever.

Purpose

Scholar Athilious published Religions of Terrath in hopes of spreading the knowledge he had gained about the different beliefs through out Terrath.

Background

Scholar Athilious had decided to travel in search of hidden scientific breakthroughs after the discover of Drae's Laws. Along the way, he kept a detailed log of his experiences. When he noticed different cultures all had religious similarities, he began to take extra care to document his findings. Eventually, after many years of studying the religious people and artifacts around him, he made the decision to write The Religions of Terrath and share his findings.

Public Reaction

When the text and it's content spread, many scholars and knowledge seekers read it with fever and a critical eye. The most religious of society had been irritated and refused of the information the text provided, but over time, as the text grew in popularity, the monks and priest eventually began to conform to the text's ideas.

In my many years of wondering, I have stumbled upon many a temples and great buildings of worship. From the great Shibanese mountain temples to thy own small church in Santon, Aetha. No matter the distance and, the havens forbid I or any of you should be worried about the days, I never felt to far from home.
I have come to notice a continuity between all churches and temples, all monks and priest, and all gods of the havens and all the monster of the dark, have something alike. No matter if you call him Kashinu, Vensha, Paktok, or even Gloom, he is still the snake god of darkness and evil, the bogyman you are terrified hides in your closet and your mind and the heart under your bosom. He is still the king and the oddly worshiped. He is still the same least he be under a new veil.
So here I bring to you a question, why? Why then do monks of Shiban and priest of Aetha fight over who gods are better to look upon? Why do Aethan priest shun Renzinbaric rituals and festivals? Why, I ask of you stranger and harbourer of knowledge, do we fight when we all love the same makers and the same givers?
This is not to preach every man and every prayer be the same. No, as beings of knowledge will do as beings of knowledge will, some noticeably differentiate from others. This leads to my conclusion that there not be four or five or eleven million different religions with eleven million differences, but instead there be three different religions with three different priorities.
The first one is Wanshini. I have found this type most common in Shiban, such is my inclination to use Shibanese to name it. This religion prioritizes balance and peace between Kashinu and Hatayu, dark and light, day and night. They worship deities of darkness and light and are always trying to keep balance in the tides of change.
The second is Dakarity, which is very popular in both Roskovan and Aetha. It prioritizes change and innovation, along with the idea of a paradise afterlife should you do good in life. Gods like Katina, Jotupa, or even Kovinjuk are often worshiped here.
The third and final religion is Rizinen, a odd one I have only come to find in lower Renzinbar. It prioritizes the elements and everything dealing with them. They also feature a unique perspective of death, for to them it is not final or eternal, but instead a transition from one form to the next. Reincarnation, I believe you would call it. They worship elemental gods.
So why do we fight over who be right and who be wrong, when we all worship the same plethora of gods. We all just go about it different, and yes, there are variations between one to another, who is to say one be better than the next?
