Kingdoms of Terrath: Renzinbar

Renzinbar is considered to be the youngest kingdom of the four and the harshest to live in.

Structure

Renzinbar is set up like a monarchy. It has a king and a queen who make laws and hold the most authority, but it also has a council of all the tribe leaders and city authorities to help make important decisions and give input on laws that will effect the tribes and the people.

Assets

What Renzinbar lacks in gold, horses, and cities, it makes up for in it's massive navy, silver, and temples. Most temples are made of what little gold there is and silver, and the navy is their only real army that Renzinbar spends money on. That is not to say they don't have regular army, but it can't rival any of the others by shear numbers. Renzinbar also is a hot spot for silver, making it so readily available that they use it for everything from weapons to temples. This places them as the second most wealthy nation, just below Shiban which is a hot spot for gold.

History

Renzinbar was actually created alongside the other three kingdoms, making it no younger in reality. However, around 300-350, it had a line of bad kings, which started a civil war and then led the many races breaking up into many smaller tribes and essentially collapsing Renzinbar. This cut it off from the world for many years and everyone in this time of terrible long distance communication forgot it even was a country once. It gained the title 'The Savage Land' and 'The Uncharted Wasteland' for a long while.   Then, around 910, Aetha started it's expansion and claim to power. At first, they didn't worry with the desert as it was viewed as useless until in 971 a Aethan explorer found a seaside tribe that was riddled with silver. This news sparked Aetha's take over of the desert, determined to gain control of it before Shiban, with who they were at war. This angered the tribes, as many miners and Aethan hoping to strike it rich came down and destroyed whole villages and cacti forest in order to mine for silver. They devastated the already fragile ecosystem. Much of Aetha's extra military that wasn't fighting Shiban was used to control the angry tribes.   Then, in 1037, a fisherman by the name Nezin stepped up to the challenge and started a movement to gain independence from Aetha. By this time, Aetha was in struggling to keep up in the war, losing battles and land to both Shiban and Roskovan. However, it was clear that Aetha would not be defeated unless they had some help. So, both Shiban and Roskovan agreed to help the resistance gain Independence from Aetha if they helped them win the war.   So, Rinzinbar was formed with Nezin as its first king. In 1049, Aetha signed a peace treaty with the other three kingdoms, reducing its size tremendously and officially recognizing Renzinbar as it's own kingdom. In 1055, there were a few mishaps with a few revolting tribes, so the council was created so the people had a say in things as well and would be less inclined to disobey these laws.

Education

While of all levels is free, there are only schools in major cities. Many citizens go without an education, which is why many "outdated" tribal traditions and religious practices still exist. The average education level is little to no education at all. However, recent projects have been proposed to bring schools and teachers to less populated cities and even nomadic tribes.
