The Half Borne are complicated creatures. Complicated in that whenever one is born their very existence changes the nature of their surrounding environment and the way the world sees them. Half Borne are beings born from two races, Veral and Terrisian. The magic or the buildup in the life stream in such a vessel normally cannot be contained and will overpower both the mother and the child . Most half borne children die or miscarry while still in the womb. Naturally taking the mother with them. It takes a strong mother and father to both cultivate and help the child grow and not overwhelm the mothers body both magically and physically.
Only those who know the old ways, and are powerful enough to cultivvate such a being within the mothers womb are able to even attempt to birth a Half Borne. This normally results in the parents being deeply in love or the powerful mage being good friends with the couple as a lot of the magics that are incorporated in the birthing process have considerable moral implications.
Half borne once born are unnaturally drawn to greatness. They will always be in the spot light one way or another.
If more than one Half Borne is born within a generation they are naturally drawn to each other.
