The Council of Seven

:   The Council of Seven are the rulers of the capital. They are in effect, the most powerful business owners seen throughout Centralis and therefore by right are seen as successful, wise, and knowing.   The Seven are decided via Net wealth that the guild in its entirety have accumulated.   The Head of the guild has a seat upon the council, while the rest of the guild reaps the benefits of being apart of the seven, such as discounts, favorable treatment among the other guilds and shops, and whose services are always expidited.   The seven gather to figure out where to spend the taxes that keep the trade routes clean and patched, the rivers dry and which public houses to build or invest in. They also monitor trade stocks and the value of Centralis coin. Other duties include handling and planning of public events that are dedicated toward certain religous and national holidays, as well as maintaining the Lawkeepers guild that runs seperate of the Council of seven.

Upholding the Law:

The Law Keeper guild is a guild that stands aside from all other guilds and is not effected by the natural rules that surround said guilds. They are the law. However law is dictated by both the council of seven and the two masters of the Law Keepers guild. In doing this the Law is decided upon and followed through, national decree's being moved throughout the land whenever a law is changed or amended.   The Law Keepers, like Lyares Kingsgaurd, are the sole keepers of the law and will present trial and judgement on the spot depending on severity of the law broken. Most tennets that are accused are allowed to present their case or gather evidence against their case. There is no court system, only the Lawkeepers final say. Howevere extreme cases where the case is not clear cut the LawKeepers may ask for a unopinionated jury from surrounding guildmembers.   There is two things that an accused can do once being considered guilty. They can either buy a writ that concedes their guilt and must wear a badge or pin stating their level of discredit, or they can challenge the Law, and the law Keepers themselves in a bout of competition, from trade, to races, to wrestling to be admonished from all guilt. However if they lose it is an immediate death sentence, not many choose this path.   However if the Accused does not wish to challenge the Law Keepers judgement, whatever the Law Keepers then decide is the accused's punishment.

Defences

The Capital sits in the middle of a small valley surrounded by a small circular mountain range. Where fortress-like buildings have been built and large iron gates bar those from entering or exiting the capital without content check writs, or guild pass'.   These are easily defendable parapets, with rocks, trebuchets, and large ballista that line the walls and the mountainside.

Infrastructure

The city runs on shipping lanes that spread out of Centralis and into the other guild owned cities, towns and villages and other nearby settlements.   There are guilds that specialize specifically in shipping merchandise, foods, and other assorted goods to help Centralis run smoothly and to both help farmers and bring them into the guild folds.   In Centralis everyone belongs to one of the hundreds of guilds that are present within the kingdom.

Guilds and Factions

There are over 100 guilds vying for power at any given time. Each guild representing a major trade or organization within Centralis, most guilds crossing over their trades and going into different aspects or specializing in all aspects of a specific trade.   Such as The Pigs Bacon guild, which specialize in Pig farming, the fattening of pigs, the upkeep of the farm, the slaughtering of the pigs, the shipping and handling of the meat to various parts of the county, and the distribution of the meat, and stock within those towns.   There are of course a plethora of trades that run throughout Centralis, and in their attempts to have the highest net worth the guilds to attempt to fight, backstab, and illegally or under the nose of the law, derail other guild operations, leaading to an onset of Mercenary guilds that are fully prevalent throughout Centralis, and the surrounding regions.
