"When the Silver Man Comes"

With a wide snake's smile, he beckons you near,
crawling into your mind, knowing all that you fear,
a silver smile, spinning silver lies,
He drinks, he laughs, with darkness for eyes

When the Silver Man comes, the town quakes and quivers,
For out comes his tongue with flicks and slithers,
He will pull you away, from all you dreams and desires,
Casts you away, your soul in the pyres

His wide smile comes by, never seen any straighter,
He gives you your wish,
The price will come later,
You yearn for his silver lies and kind face,
Yet he drinks and laughs your soul he does chase

The Silver Man comes with dreadful acclaim,
He hears the town creak, buckle and cave,
He acts the fool, yet you remember his name,
He comes to bind you, make you his slave,
Tormented with fire, without all that you crave

With a wide snake's smile, he beckons you near,
crawling into your mind, knowing all that you fear,
a silver smile spinning silver lies,
He drinks, he laughs, with darkness for eyes

His wide smile comes by, never seen any straighter,
He gives you your wish,
The price will come later,
You yearn for his silver lies and kind face,
Yet he drinks and laughs your soul he does chase

The Silver Man comes with dreadful acclaim,
He hears the town creak, buckle and cave,
He acts the fool, yet you remember his name,
He comes to bind you, make you his slave,
Tormented with fire, without all that you crave

When I come around, I beckon you near,
I give you your wants,
The price I make dear,
My silver lies, spin you into a trance,
A noble end, a frantic last dance

When I come to town, a parade of fear,
I don't ask what you've done,
I ask what you fear,
A wolf in the city, I am on the prowl,
A predator in the house, you hear me howl

When the Silver Man comes, the people will know,
I prey on you, your wishes and fears,
I jump with joy at the sight of your tears,
Come away now, I am your end,
Though earlier that day, I appeared your friend
