Public Agenda
With fanatical zealotry, Dark Druids defy civilisation with utmost importance, going so far as to make expeditions from their dark unmapped forests purely to kill the civilised and push the balance of nature.
History
When the Golden King underwent his conquest of the continent of Elgerlia, the resources of the lands were abused to fund the continual war and transformation of his domain. As forests were cut down in swaths, the Druidic Circles were forced back into deeper nature. Some Circles gained a deep hatred for the Golden King and his advances and grew more conservative and radical, becoming the first of the secluded Dark Druid Circles.
Hatred festered for years, even after the fall of the Golden King, resentment shifted towards the Great Western Empire as they upheld the civilisation built up by their predecessor. It was then, some time around the founding of the GWE that one Dark Druid volunteered himself to become the first Wild King.
Disbandment
After a gruelling war between nature and civilisation, the armies of the Empire pushed back the Dark Druidic forces, hunting down and disbanding as many Circles as could be found. While some individuals lived on, no Communities have been sighted since.
Tenets of Faith
Dark Druids are the extremist radicals of the Druidic Cultures on Elgerlia. As with all other Circles, they seek the balance in nature and life itself. However, Dark Druids see civilisation itself as the disturbance to this balance.
Humans, as the main creators of development and civilisation, hold no special place in nature and must be killed off with impunity. Dark Druids believe themselves to be a problem with balance and so once their work is complete, each member is expected to let nature take hold of their body.
Perfection can only be achieved without either chaos or order having any control over one another. Too much magic, too much divine interaction, too much fighting will all weaken life and destroy any regulations on civilisation and nature.
The goal all Dark Druids work towards can be summarised as the dismantling of civilisation and the return of all races to their original place in the ecosystem, sending humans back to being hunters and foragers.
