Personal history

As part of a family which ruled an area of Ironfort, Margot Uldwi went into a life of piracy finally finding her way to Captain of her infamous ship, The Forsaken Ashes. Over time, she became more and more influential as her power on the high seas grew and with rising influence came rising aspirations.
With a handful of ships in her fleet, she broke off from allegiance with the Dathrans of Ironfort and struck off as her own Pirate-Queen with a hideout headquarters on the archipelago known as Wanderer's Isle. With time, Margot's aspirations grew further and she attempted to contact the Devils of the Deep which plagued the ocean.
Margot managed to seal a deal with an Aboleth where she would have more safety travelling the Elgerlorian Ocean. However, she had to sell her soul and allow the Aboleths to corrupt her entire body. To withhold the ongoing curse, Margot was forced to use alchemical drugs which instead birthed sorcerous powers and the curse continued to spread. Before long, Margot now known as the Deephost, was so powerful amongst the Pirate Alliance she was crowned the sole Pirate-Queen above all others.
And with this power, the Devils of the Deep corrupted Margot entirely, cursing her to never sail again, forced to forever stay on Wanderer's Isle. She ended up committing suicide but had promised her soul to the Aboleth and wasn't allowed to die completely. She returned from the dead as a spectral skeleton, still cursed never to leave her Wanderer's Isle.
Now, Margot is still the Pirate-Queen of the Alliance and draws in Captains from all callings to join with her faction. When a ship under her influence is sunk, the crew of the ship rise up just as Margot did and become essentially thralls for her piratical enterprise.
