Resurrection

Resurrection is a powerful form of magic, requiring a great sacrifice but offering a great reward.

In the world of Terra, mages, priests, and alchemists have developed a way to resurrect someone from the dead. This being said, the magic is reserved to a very dark, or very light form of magic (Good or Evil). Depending on the type of magic used, there will be different consequences to the resurrection.   The Resurrection of a good aligned creature requires a sacrifice of an evil aligned subject, a sacrifice of similar body and weight, but exact race doesn't have to be the same. I.e a human can be resurrected by a dwarf sacrifice, as long as they are both healthy adults. it works visa versa for the resurrection of an evil aligned creature.   The resurrection also requires a major organ of the original creature, either a heart or brain or full intestine track. Additionally, a full 3 days must be spent on a magical ritual for the Resurrection to work. The ingredients not only include the major organ of the resurrected creature and the living sacrifice, but also a jar of salt, a empty glass vase (to temporarily store the soul and organ), and any semi-transparent gem worth at least 10,000 gp.   It also requires an 11 pointed star circle made from the blood of the sacrifice. The sacrifice is stretched across the circle, and salt is laid across them. The vase is placed near their head with the major organ inside. A hole must be carved out of the center of the sacrifices chest, but it cannot be so deep to kill them. The gem is placed in the hole, slightly protruding from the chest. The magic spell must then take place, and the sacrifice must be kept alive for the entire duration of the ritual (all 3 days). Just keeping the sacrifice alive is a feat in an of itself, and requires many spells of restoration and healing.
