Terra, the Mothering Planet (Epoch Julius 2000)

The planet Terra, officially known as Epoch Julius 2000, is the fourth planet from the star of the Solis System, commonly referred to as the sun, is the only place in the solar system known to harbour life, and has two moons, Titan and Walrus. With a human population of around ten billion souls, Terra has been rotating through the Solis System for around 4.5 billion years, serving as the cradle of humanity as her children look towards the stars and other celestial bodies in the system.   Known also as the Mothering Planet, the Center of All Life, and the Lonely Marble, Terra is classified as a Class M planet, with an equal nitrogen-oxygen atmosphere and an abundance of hydrogen dioxide capable of sustaining carbon-based lifeforms and their existence. Roughly 65% surface coverage of Epoch Julius is water, while the other 35% is land of varying kinds.

Geography

Epoch Julius' has several landmasses to its name, spread out across its globe. The tectonic plates and their shift over the 4.5 billion years the planet has existed for has resulted in several continents and archipelagos in the western and eastern hemispheres. The climate has also created unique biomes and other locations spread out across the world, with humanity inhabiting these exotic locales for hundreds of thousands of years.   For example, the sprawling temperate forests of northern Urea mesh well with the country's low-lying areas, while the entirety of the Sudartica is nothing more than a hilly, ice-covered tundra. Humans and animals alike call these places home, surviving off their bounty. Other, man-made locations dot the surface as well, such as the irradiated wastelands that are the Northern Wastes or the man-made island city of Gir-as-Salaam in the southeastern seas stand testaments to the sheer ability of the human race to reshape the planet to their own needs, or by their own destruction.
