Terra

The Years of Rebirth

Sprawling across an ancient world are four massive continents all different in regards to people, culture, and climate. However these four continents separated by the great seas are the Jewels in the Crown of Terra. A world that has seen thousands of years of violence and bloodshed, and at the same time thousands of years of peace and prosperity. A world that has been completely eradicated due to the corruption of the Old Gods, however in great defiance of Chaos Terra has been reborn due to the efforts of the Blind Lion of Neverwinter, and the Dark Librarian of the Ebon Citadel. The four continents of Terra are   Haven:The Ice Shield of Terra. A cold and brutish landscape that was abandoned following the events of Ragnarok due to lack of resources, and central leadership. Though in Terra's rebirth, life, prosperity, and opportunity has returned to Terra, and so to have the Humans of Haven. "Embrace the cold, she'll never lie to you"- A common saying among humans from Haven as parting words.

Alvion: The Forgotten Fortress of Gold. Alvion is one of the oldest continents of Terra as it used to belong to the Dwarvish Clans of Terra. The Iron Trinity was the name given to the three strongest Dwarven factions. They are   The Iron Mountain Klan: The IronMountain Dwarves or Irons for short was the strongest faction of the Trinity. They spent all their resources on their strong, militant life style. Hardy work in the mines has led them to becoming physically tough as they often begin work in the Iron Mines at a very young age.   The Red Beards: The Red Beards prized themselves on being charlatans and tradesmen. They were physically tough as most dwarves are but preferred to be more social and laid back about their woes. Their main attribute however is that they are gifted brewers of ale. In the ancient city of Aelin'Kazad( Golden Fortress) There exists a great Dwarvish brewery, where Red Beards used to provide ale to all of their kinsmen for a price of course, because of this dependence on their ale, the Red Beards Favor was very important to the Trinity.   Aelin Saman's (Golden Shieldbrother's): The oldest of the three Dwarvish Klans the Dwarves that remain in this faction were seen as the nobility of the Dwarvish Klans. They prized themselves on their intelligence and technological inventions. Wizards, Aristocrats, and Intellectuals makes up their ranks. The other two factions started off within the Shieldbrothers in Terra's Ancient past. It is said that an argument in which ale is consumed started the schism between the three.   Now the Dwarvish Factions are scattered, their ancient secrets lost, and their Continent of Alvion lies in ruin. Controlled by Fire Giants and other bestial races. Alvion is not included in world talks with the other nations of Terra. King Snurre, The King of the Fire Giants on Alvion rules over his piece of the continent with a smoldering fist. If Alvion were to ever be retained by the Dwarves, King Snurre must be dealt with. There was a time in Terra's history in which a Dwarvish King, attempted to return to the throne, but the corruption of chaos was far too much for him to handle, and he was killed a tragic dagger to the Hearts of the Klan of Dwarves.

Teldasa: The Land of Dragons: Sitting in isolation of the Southern area of Terra is the land of Teldasa. Teldasa is the most ancient society of Terra, with perhaps the richest history. Teldasa was known to others as the Great Thunder Mountains of Terra because of it's high elevation and the roaring sounds of thunder old civilizations heard when traveling near it. The sounds they were hearing were the roars and battles of Dragons and because of this other civilizations at the time (Elves, Dwarves, Fey) would steer clear of Teldasa at all costs. Worried that whatver those noises were would lead to their demise.   The Crimson Expanse: United under a single ruler Solara an Ancient-Red Dragon was the first official empire of Teldasa. They sought to take all of Terra and subjugate all other life on Terra because they believed themselves to be the most superior race of Terra. They subjugated most of the world and needed only Alvion to conclude their domination of the world. However the Gods of Terra (Namely Bahamut) believed that the Crimson Expanse was getting direct aid from the Goddess of Dragons Tiamat herself, and so Bahamut Descended to crush the Expanse once and for all. Which led him to confrontation with Solara himself, Solara ultimately lost the battle and presumably his life but he also was able to wound the Platinum Dragon. It was then that Tiamat was found innocent of influence over the war, and in fact it was Bahamut who breeched the contract of the Gods, this would lead to a later free-ploy of the Dragon Queen.   The Chromatic Expanse: Some time after surviving the events of Ragnarok, the Teldasans were one of the only surviving governing bodies of Terra left. With the world in complete shambles, Solara who had been hiding in a mountain named after himself revealed himself to be alive to all of the Teldasans. Solara being a war-hero and a dignified symbol of the past the Teldasans were all too eager to join him in his crusade. He called for all the dragon flights to be united under one banner in which would be known as "The Chromatic Expanse". Solara began his crusade against Terra but in reality was working to save Terra.. His actions led to the Destruction of Terra, however it was later revealed that it was a plan to rid the world of the Gods of Chaos.   The Chromatic Empire: In present day Terra, Solara has finally risen to a level that suits his own justification of himself, he flies high over the mountains of Celestia, known now as an Elder-God. His power is still granted to Terrans who serve him and any Draconic deities. The current ruler of The Chromatic Empire, is the Empress Terrestraza-Redflight. She is militant and cruel to her enemies, while also being militant and structured with her people. She has garnered a mountain of respect because of her service during the "Wars of Chaos" or the "End Wars". She has not shown any current interest in expanding her empire, but her influence and her ambition is definitely active.

West Vexxion (Vexxion): The Crown of Terra: West Vexxion has been the seat of Terra, since the Dawn of the Age of Man. West Vexxion is a Beautiful forest land, with rich golden coasts and resources. Shared by Men and Elven-kin alike West Vexxion is the centralized local of Terra. On the far Western Coast sits the city of Neverwinter, which is the Capital of Neverwinter. It is where all nation powers of Terra visit to engage in diplomacy over war, resources, land etc. The council is called the Council of Neverwinter. Current heads are East Vexxion Powers (The Ebon Citadel), West Vexxion Powers(Neverwinter, and Alabsta), Haven(Haven City), and Teldasa (Elignea).       Neverwinter: is ruled by the Blind Lion of Gold, who sits in an Imperial Palace. It is said that the Blind Lion was chosen directly by Lord Ao, or by something even stronger than Lord Ao, and Asmodeus. The Blind Lion contains immeasurable strength and is said to have learned Forbidden Lore. No one quite knows what this Lore refers to, but it is said that the releasing of this information would crumble the world of Neverwinter easily.

Votarrion (East Vexxion): Used to be a place of death and unfertile lands, volcanic and barren and home to the warring tribes of Terra's Monstrous races (Goblins, Orcs, Gnolls, Kobolds) Anything that they consider unfavorable. However since Terra's Glorious Rebirth, the ruler of East Vexxion the Librarian has turned the continent into a place of great industry. The Librarian or the Cursed Seer has united all five of the Orcish clans of Terra, and has taken leadership of them. Calling herself the Great' Kahn she has channeled Oricsh aggression, and toughness into factory work, and has created a society in which the strong dominate the weak.     Orcish Clans:         The Bloodeye Clan: Perhaps the strongest in termers of savagery and tacticians, the Bloodeye clan is a great clan of intense power. Whenever they find their banners raised in times of war other Orcish clans feel the need to join them. The Bloodeyes are best described as Savage Figters, using traditional Orcish savagery along with excellent weapons and armor. Their racial leader is Saurok Bladetwist or Ghe'Khan Bloodeye.

The Warmong Clan: Where the Bloodeye's mix savagery with tact. The Warmong Clan only believes in Savagery. They believe the biggest and strongest Orc should always be able to rule. They kill their weak or their sick without a moments hesitation as they believe one weakness in the clan is enough to bring the entire clan down. Their leader is a brutal savage who's claim to fame is killing an adult dragon in one on one combat. He wears the skull of the red dragon upon his shoulder. His name is Golmak'Gruh

Blackmaw Clan- The Blackmaw clan are a strange clan. They are orcs who were centered in the Underdark mainly. The savagery of the Underdark has led to them to becoming extremely tough and strong. They are as a whole taller and more burly than the average orc. On top of their already impressive size Blackmaw Clan orcs are an oddity because they actually favor using intelligence in order to win their battles. They have a large amount of magic users within their ranks and spend a large amount of time writing about Orcish history. They have an artifact that is of massive importance to them called "Da Orc Buuk". To the Blackmaw clan is is known as the "Tome of Orcish History". Their leader is known as Saru'Gar. He is as strong as he is intelligent, and his intelligence has been noted and utilized by The Librarian.

Spear Heart Clan: The Speak Heart Orcs were settled in Haven for most of their history, because of the bitter climate, and non-abundance of resources they adapted to become fierce rangers, and fierce berserkers. Taming the Frost Wolves of the region, they have a kinship with their Frost Wolves and their wolves are also a part of the clan. Because of their domestication of Great Winter Wolves they have shown to become great mounted combatants. They make sure to protect their Wolves lineage because they can only bond with wolves that their ancestors have bonded with. The leader of the Spear Heart clan is known as "The Winter Wolf". Her name is Shamog'Vol. They prize Intelligence and their kinship to their animal companions among all else.

Rotfel Clan: The Rotfel clan is not recognized as a great clan for their heavy practice on dark, twisted magics. Blood magic, and magic that causes suffering is of delight to the Rotfel clan. They are often immune to poisons and fire because of the Demon or Devil's blood that they consume. They engage in the absolute worst behavior of any of the Orcish Clans. They delight in dark and twisted situations. The suffering of a child would make a Rotfel burst out in laughter, the flaying of women would bring a tear to their eyes. Tragic moments of others are the Rotfels lifeblood. Their leader is named Sakuren' Tah. Or otherwise known as "The Great Decay"

War of Roses, Year 39 of Glorious Rebirth in the new First Age.

The War of Roses (Year 36 of Glorious Rebirth- Present day)   The War of Roses is a political campaign between the Flames of Retribution united under the Kingdom of Neverwinter and the Crimson Twilight led by Ancalastraza Redflight the self proclaimed Heir of Terra. In this present day and age the Flames of Retribution struggle against the Crimson Twilight. The reason being is that, Crimson Twilight soldiers are just cogs in the machine, they know they are expendable and their leaders use that to the war-efforts advantage. The more dignified and Honorable Flames of Retribution find themselves at a loss to their Heartless strategies. A Lieutenant of the Crimson Twilight would think nothing of sacrificing 1000 soldiers for an edge in the war. Such moral decisions are not so easily made.     Ancalastraza Surrenders: As abruptly as the war began, one day Mufasa called his court together to witness Ancalastraza standing before the throne. She spoke that she has run the numbers and though she could keep fighting for a long while, eventually she would just lose, and so she comes before the throne to surrender and take any fate that await her. Mufasa proceeded to release his rage on Ancalastraza and beat her hard, he made sure to identify that the Ancalastraza standing before him was the real Ancalastraza he later could confirm that it was, he drew out her dragon form and forced her to breath fire, it was her fire that bound the Throne of Roses, the throne that would forever be the seat of the King of Neverwinter. The crown still had to defeat King Snurre of the Fire Giants and weed out the Black Horde, but with Ancalastraza's unconditional surrender, the event marked the end of the War of Roses.   The Battle For Neverwinter: Year 40: When Ancalastraza surrendered she gave Mufasa a way into the Fire Giant King Snurre's keep. Unknown to Mufasa and the forces of Neverwinter whenever the spell was activated it brought a surprise force of fire giants and King Snurre himself into the Neverwinter throne room, that was not the end of Neverwinter's misfortunes, as a Terrasque was also summoned back into Neverwinter and started wreaking havoc. The Royal Party led by Lord Tryndamere Bjoornson faced off in the throne room, while Mufasa, Darwin, Alonso and the Blind Lion faced off against the Terrasque.

54 of Glorious Rebirth:

After the conclusion of the War of Roses, the Flames of Retribution endured. The organization began to fortify city defenses in order to deal with the Black Horde. The Black Horde could never win a battle against the organized Flames, however the Black Horde fights in Guerilla style warfare and they have been an enduring pain since the conclusion of the War of Roses. Since the conclusion of the War of Roses Mufasa has had to quell three rebellions against the Chromatic Empire and a rebellion in Alvion. The war in Alvion is known as "The Hands War". In the present day and age the Black Horde remains an ever present threat and The Sword Coast is still in a wartime mind frame considering they just won "The Hand's War" However there has been a notable increase in undead activity. Vampires and creatures of the night have been spilling blood, under the banners of the Order of the Bloodmoon which answer to Vlad Dracula Tepes. The hostilities between Neverwinter and Castlevania are reaching a boiling point. Action is definitely inevitable

The North Arises 54-58

Upon the death of King Mufasa III, his son took over the throne. He ruled relatively peacefully for two years, and then he stationed troops into Haven, prompting the North to rebel from the crown, with them the North convinced Votarrion to join them as well. The rebellion was short but very bloody, the results of the war were that King Mufasa IV was deposed and his brother Simba was chosen as the next king by the 5 Kingdoms.

Present day Terra Year 58, Teldasa an ever lingering problem.

There was one nation that survived well from the rebellion and that was Teldasa, they rebelled against the new throne and chose themselves as their own nation , with no connection to the rest of the world.   Year 58- The Second War of Roses Teldasa continued into great defiance but the forces of Nevewinter, the Alliance of Melmaria, and Haven banded together to defeat the dragons. They took aid from the far North nation of Xindasa. The war was brutal. All of the Dragon patriarchs humbled and most of them killed. Dragonkind is all but erased. Only three known ancient dragons exist Setharian Blackflight, Kairozdormu Whiteflight and Ancalastraza Redflight. Ancalastraza may not be Ancient- but she commands the power of Solara all the same. Even though this was a loss for the Teldasans Ancalastraza looms in the distance. Results of the Second War of Roses
  • Teldasa defeated, a leader loyal to Neverwinter rules in stead- Lunastraza
  • Gojira awakened and pledged to fight for Neverwinter and Xindasa
  • Votarrion held under control by Shokal'Khan.
