The Ocaen

When one sails between islands, all that can be seen below is water from one tip of the horizon to the other. That is the Ocaen, an unbroken stretch of water underneath Crysana.
No person has returned from falling down into the Ocaen, but a few Etherians have descended in ships and returned. They never stayed long, for the air was hot and thick, like breathing syrup, and the fear of great beasts below the waves was ever-present. Hazy from above, they said that up close, the water was bluer than any they had seen before and the waves far taller than any lake.

Fauna & Flora

Many believe there to be giant, vicious sea monsters below the waves, but this is only legend as none have ever been seen.
