Sithomanoel

The common people know Sithomanoel as the Blood Star, or some similar name, but the scholarly know it is not a star. He is among the wandering Plaenats, though his journeys are much slower and more predictable than the other two. He only enters the sky for half the year, if at all depending on where one is in Crysana.
The bright maroon color lends much to the name most know him by, along with the bad omens many say he brings. He reaches his height in the sky during winter, during the coldest days. The common people believe him to be the representation of evil: what the Vaclians call Sattaan. Many consider the end of summer to be when he first rises, and the end of winter to be when he last sets.
There is no true tale of his creation, though there are many tales. Most claim that some evil man used blood magic to send himself into the stars or that a being of evil glorified its most loyal servant. The most popular story is that a man named Sithoman in Aecara grew so powerful in heatcasting that he became the first Fenucs and once dead, his spirit burned so bright that Tal had no choice but to cast him into the sky where he would spend the rest of his eternal life in dire cold.
