Magiurken and Magiorkan

Magiurken are "Magic Desert" in Elskett. It is a place where there is little to no magic wind. Most animals in this places have adapted to life without magic. Spells are usually either a whole lot weaker than in Magi places, or take way more time, or are planily impossible.   Magiorkan are Magic storms, powerful and chaotic winds of magical energy. Magic winds in Magiorkans aren't as neutral as they can be in Magi places, most of the time they are heavily tainted by elements and effects. Trying to cast a spell during a Magiorkan is nearly impossible. A caster would have to fight the storm to get the right amount of energy, and to fight against the taint of the energy that might affect the outcome of the spell, most of the time resulting in death and destruction.   Magic users during a Magiorkan needs to either be very good at meditation and be able to let the flow of magic go through them without spilling through their bones, or hide in a place protected from the storm.   The only moments magic wind pass through Magiurken is in the form of Magiorkans. Species of those lands have evolved to either hide and deactivate their magic, or not have any magic at all.
Some very few have learn to store the magical energy. They are either apex predators of Magiurkens, being able to use magic through most of the year, or extremely sturdy vegetarian, with defensive or survival magic available most of the time.   Goblins are natural dwellers of magiurken, most of them have no magic minerals in their bones. Those who have can't even use it most of the time and go undetected unless a Magiorkan wipe through the land.
Goblins being higly proefficient in magic if they have the right mutation and access to magic wind, they are especially dangerous during magic storms.
It was a cause of sudden death for many before Tooteemah solved the problem with her inventions.
