Mountain Satyr
Similar to a simple satyr, the mountain satyrs live in the Northern Mountains of Terdja. Their special black hooves for feet help them climb the steep faces of the mountains. Thick white fur covers their goat legs and hips to keep them warm in the harsh climate. Satyrs live in small community villages of caves on the sides of the mountains. They are exceptional miners and have hunted out caverns and tunnels into the mountains for their dwellings. In exchange for exotic foods or colorful clothing, satyrs offer precious stones and metals. To them, those stones and metals mean little, but warm clothing and special food mean much. Satyrs live off of the meat, hyde, and milk of their Likos, large white yaks whose milk is slightly sweet. Satyrs specialize in raising these animals and will sometimes trade them to human merchants. The satyrs made themselves rich in their skills and tradable goods.
From the waist down, mountain satyrs have powerful goat legs covered in thick white fur. On the end of each leg is a suction cup-like hoof as black as obsidian. Satyrs keep their hooves well-trimmed and shiny. Under the fluffy white on the end of their spine is a little tail that wiggles when they are happy. From their waist up, they have the torso of a human, but with some extra white fur along their back until their hair and a bit on their belly and chest. All mountain satyrs have snow-white hair, or fur, from their hooves to the top of their heads. Propping from their white hair, two very sharp horns sprout when a satyr reached the age of eight. They continue to grow throughout their life and occasionally need to be trimmed. Their ears stick out to the side, are sharply pointed, and have a thin covering of white, soft fur. The mountain satyr is a fascinating creature to behold.
