Mental characteristics
Personal history
Escaping an arranged marriage. Is in love with someone who was alreay promised in another arranged marriage. From a mercantile family. Trained to be a doctor. He worked in a respectable hospital. His family had the social status and his betrothed's family had the wealth. He had already escaped from the marriage. Working on one of the outlier planets of the planetary alliance. Booth took Echo to him for medical care. He was the only person so far that Booth had found that was able to help Echo, and so made a deal to get him onto the ship full time. Meado now stays because, although he left his family through choice, family is still an important part of his life. The crew is now his new family. However Booth always keeps his word and is still trying to fullfil the bargain that was made with Meado.
He is able to help Echo manage the pain she still feels from her original accident that put her in the wheelchair. perhaps to do with the neural connection.
