The Silvos Family

The once proud and noble Silvos clan dates back to Ancient Rome, when their founder, Quintus Servilius Horatius, swore an oath to help him survive the coming dark times of the Senate. He assembled what remained into a great and powerful group, and at one point it was the most powerful and populous vampire clan on the Earth. This didn't last forever. When the Great Hunts began, many Silvos died, and their proud status was eliminated further when they joined the Council of Night only to find that they were not allowed on because of their late arrival status. Feuding took place, and between that and the hunters the family was driven down and those remaining were willing to accept their new place. Then the Great Wars happened, and the few survivors were killed. The once proud clan is now in tatters, with only 3 known members remaining.

Structure

There's a Grand Maester, and 3 advisors. There's also a Lorekeeper, who holds the Ledger. Or, at least, there was, until the clan went almost extinct.

History

While the Silvos family has been around for a long time, they didn't join the Council until later. They established themselves with Quintus Servilius Horatius as the Patriarch, and operated like a Roman family for some time, until he was murdered in 1021. At that point, his descendants reorganized the whole thing into a more...senatorial structure. One person was the Maester, or consul, and three people would bring up the various concerns of the branches to him. This worked well for them, with Quints' daughter Octavia ruling until the 1600s, when the blood bath of their family began. As they were on the cusp of being able to integrate, but easily recognizable by those who were looking, a lot of them were killed. Only 100 of the once 4000 strong clan - the most populous in history, lived - and those that remained would meet their fates in World War 1 and 2 as their existence was used as a cover to kill them.
