The Whole of the World

They stood at the edge, looking into what they thought was the lake. But the water did not ripple. A hundred waterfalls now lined its edge. It looked like a hole. A hole in the world.

Geography

What was once a great lake in the country of Endia, is now a physics-defying hole in the land. After The Collison, the lake simply disappeared. There are no records of any sound being made or sightings of the water draining. But there was much chaos during The Collision and record keeping of this time is not of the highest standard. "The lake was and then it was not" as the saying goes.   Where one would expect to see the still waters of a lake there is now nothing. An abyss that leads to... well no one knows. Peering off the edge reveals nothing but darkness. It makes no sound, it radiates no magic that has been detected so far. The several rivers that fed into the lake now just run off the edge, silent as they disappear into the abyss. Animals of flight circle it and cross it but none enter it. Those few that have ventured in have not returned. The reputation of the abyss makes it a common destination for those who no longer wish to inhabit this plane.   The town of Norview sits nearby. What was once a small settlement that provided a stopover for hunters in the area, has grown to a bustling market town that supports the area's growing tourist appeal. It's these townsfolk the gave Lochbell its new and more marketable name, The Whole of the World. There are those that come to stare into the darkness for answers. Alchemists and adventurers pass through and their way to seek out what resources or mysteries the surrounding areas now provide. And then there are those that come just to see what a big f*ckin' hole the ground looks like.

Fauna & Flora

Like many Collision hot spots, the surrounding area of the abyss is rife with magical energy and creatures. The forests are lush and filled with a mix of material and faerie creatures.
