Baron of Talamir

A Baron or Baroness has jurisdiction over a small section of a Duke's lands. This could include a smaller city, multiple towns, or simply a large amount of villages.

Appointment

Barons are appointed by the Duke who has the barony in their portfolio. While the title is not necessarily hereditary, if a child of a Baron shows potential, they are quite often appointed next.
