Ediani

The Ediani or Edian's Folk are one of the native human ethnic groups of Edland that primarily settles around the Kal'Mirin. According to legend, they are the direct descendants of the first humans, that Edian Oreion created, their golden or yellowish irises still tell of the divine blessing, they received of him.   They are significantly taller than other humans, averaging at around 2 meters in height. Their skin varies from pale white to yellowish light brown and rarely ashen gray and reddish brown. Their hair is mostly brown, with reddish and greenish variation. The eyes of the Ediani are narrow and oval in shape and vary from brown to yellow to metallic gold in color. Some Ediani eyes posses reflective properties similar to cats, allowing them to see in low light conditions, this is seen as a special blessing by Edian.   After the Great Devastation and the colonization of Edland by the Jordavian Empire, the Ediani were subjected to persecution, due to their connection to Edian.   While Ediani, originally only referred to the ethnic Ediani, the common use of the word has changed after the Great Devastation and is now used as a demonym for the entire indigenous people of Edland.
