A seemingly typical base of standard knights, wizards, and lords but with a unique twist. The world knows of magic, it's widely known as the indicator of being of noble blood. The higher level you are of the noble class the stronger you are usually. But what most don't know is that everyone can use magic it is just the nobles who know of it and can learn it. Yet there are the few revolutionaries among the nobles seeking to exchange magic knowledge freely. The revolutionaries hoarding already coveted magic tomes in order to spread the word. Magic is a strange force that is harnessed by mages, users of magic, and only mages are nobles. Mages must balance their usage and cost, they can either use their own limited amount of magical energy as a fuel or their own life force, causing them to rapidly age or irreversible damage. However, they can balance it by making an opposite effect occur such as making a making one thing grow tall at the expense that another withers. A person's magical energy is innate and only intense training can change the maximum amount you have. Many mages do however use tools in order to store excess energy lest it leak and cause damage to their surroundings.
