Noeke
The smallest of all of the continents, and also the oldest, Noeke was formed by volcanic activity several millions of years ago, but such activity has since ceased. It sits within a tropical region, and is home to mostly tropical rainforests and tropical jungles. Despite having been formed by volcanic activity, erosion and other factors have led to most of the dormant volcanoes and the singular small mountain range being tiny in comparison to others on the planet. Noeke is one of three island continents, and of them, it is the most diverse in the non-sapient species it holds.
Despite its rich natural resources, Noeke is not a popular place among Dragons to live, and as such, there are only two sapient Dragon species residing there: Inaidae Dragons, and Qhonneanit Dragons. These two species are almost entirely confined to Noeke of their own choosing, rarely emigrating to other continents. Not only are they the only two sapient species present, they are also constantly at war in two of their only three countries. The first and larger country, Bescoyra, is controlled by the Inaidae, and the second, smaller country at war is called Eskye and it is currently controlled by the Qhonneanit. The continent has gone through different eras of primary control by both groups, but only recently (within the past 100 years) has a new country appeared: Xotrela, a land supposedly neutral between both parties. It is the only country of the three that allows for both species of sapient Dragons to live in it without restrictions being placed on the non-ruling species, and was founded after the illicit relationship between an Inaidae royal and Qhonneanit heir to a prominent family was discovered. They fled to the once-neutrally aligned lands between the two warring nations and founded their own, along with more immigrants who decided they had had enough of the constant war and oppression.
Geography
The geography of Noeke is rather uniform, without much variance in the different areas of the continent. While the environment is varied, the landscape is rather flat, save for a few hills around the base of the singular mountain range the continent has. As it is an island continent, it is surrounded by the great Crestois Ocean, and has no visible land connections to any other continent. The ocean has quite the effect on the continent as well, considering that even the smallest change of the ocean's water levels, tides, or fish stocks can have great or devastating effects on Noeke. Despite it being an island, not all of the creatures on it are suited for living in the water, as there is a decent amount of dry land available to live on there. That being said, the aquatic and semi-aquatic life surrounding the continent are just as varied and beautiful as those on the land.
