The Rubana Towers

Protectors of Arcana Ignis

There are eight Rubana Towers currently covering the skies of Arc Ignis, the city built around the most prestigious school of evocation wizards, Arcana Ignis. These floating ruby obelisks contain an immense spark of raw evocation magic that can be focused into destructive rays, reducing entire buildings and landscapes to nothing but ash and rubble.

Creation

Through complex manipulation and an immense sacrifice of materials, a Rubana Tower can be crafted from conjoined chunks and veins of ruby crystals. Through the use of transmutation magics, this large gemstone-pile is fused together to form a singular, 10 feet wide and 30 feet wide ruby obelisk. Afterwards, through a ritual only known to the greatest evocation archmages that have studied in Arcana Ignis, the obelisks spark of evocation magic is ignited and united to a person carrying a matchin pendant, forged in the same process where the obelisk itself is crafted. Slowly after, runes of levitation make it possible for the giant structure to be moved and to be controlled by the assigned Protector.
