Remus Torcall

Explorer of Creation, Author

Explorer Extraordinaire

"Bear in mind, explorer of these eldritch pages, that depictions presented in "Lost Island of the Cauldron" are not based on falseties such as, folktales or myth. Each and every image and description found on these pages is that of an account. Survivors, tribes revealing to me their collectively hunted ancient skulls, the sources are a-plenty and there's more than enough evidence in this book to PROVE that there is indeed an island in the Cauldron of Creation unexplored, and undiscovered..." - Introduction to 'Lost Island of the Cauldron'

History and Fame

Remus Torcall penned their reputation through a multitude of literature exploring different corners of Cauldron of Creation. A public figure, although slightly quirky, Remus was seen as a man of higher education and further understanding of Taurua's history and cultures than even many academics of his time. From the penhand of Remus came timeless classics and guides to would-be explorers such as "Wilderness of Feline's Claw" or the "Desolace of Coreflame Island". However, with further and further years of study Remus' subjects became more and more esoteric, shifting their target audience from the general populace to experts and those seeking detailed lore and knowledge (and by some accounts speculation) over cultural phenomenoms and believes of the Cauldron of Creation.
Remus achieved their fame through witty words and sharp comedy mixed with educative monologues. His ventures were followed by his large audience through his books and written text, where Remus didn't seem to avoid any subjects, even performing controversial mingling and cultural exploration with the Lizardfolk of the Sister Isle and with the Tabaxi of Feline's Claw.

Fall from the Spotlight

With time, the very sanity of Remus came to question as he delved into more obscure subjects. Instead of a general overview of an area, Remus began to invest more and more of his time and pages around strange anomalities around the island. Such as the appearance of some debatable beasts (as to if they were real or not) and life originating from outside of any known environment. With a swarm of fans on their neck, finally Remus announced his "magnum opus" that he declared should activate the very scholars of Learner's Perch to launch more exploration parties; The infamous 'Lost Island of the Cauldron'.
Despite the mysticism around the subjectively recent discovery of the Wildlands, and the immense amount of ships and fleets that Cauldron of Creation had produced over centuries of time, Remus was certain that several monstrosities and strange creatures did not in fact originate themselves from any of the known islands of Cauldron of Creation. With the long distance to the continents of Wildlands and Bravalon, Remus was convinced that these could only be explained by there being an additional island to the Cauldron that remains yet undiscovered.
