The First Port

Largely believed to be the very same port and the very same small village that was born when freefolk of Phorex Isles first set their foot to explore the vast lands of Bravalon. Cardinal Port prospered as a near-capital until the dark rule of Rüerik Darkgalleon. With battle after battle and war after battle, the mad warlord finally left the city in peace and handed it out to his opposers and his main force continued to the former city of Rudderdam, which later became the vile Rottendam.

Demographics

Cardinal Port is one of many settlements with deep-seethed hatred towards Wood Elves. Even so that when high elven dignitaries visit Cardinal Port they usually are escorted by bodyguiards. Cardinal Port is largely inhabited by humans and rarely a few dwarves.
Most of the cities occupational expertise is split between privateers, sailors and captains. Taking pride in their official business and making clear their distinction from Rottendam, Cardinal Port's sailors sail colorful ships that take on the longest sea routes to Cauldron of Creation and even Wildlands.

Government

The mayor of Cardinal Port owes their allegiance to the Republic of Praesidium, and Cardinal Port is considered to belong to the province of Eskea. This cooperation has proved fruitful to the people of Cardinal Port, who often send their trade goods down the river to Praesidium and gain protection, trade and magical prowess through this trade.
