Board of Misconduct and Nobility
Laws would be void without enforcement
The Board of Misconduct and Nobility is a sect of priests and clerics within the Founding Church, who enforce the Strictures of Pillar. Before all, it is the Board's task to enforce the Strictures on those who are higher in Pillar's hierarchy. Clerics and agents of the Board can be found at locations where tyrannical rule seems to be an issue, and where there's still presence of the Founding Church. The organization's main weapon against such dark rulers and lords who have lost their way is religious intervention, but there have been rumors of more concrete actions against some of the most heinous and selfish patricians of history.
Many mockeries and insults considering the Board exist, mainly because they are seen as no better than spies. Invading peoples private lives in search of evidence of any wrongdoings. It depends wholly on where one was to ask on what sort of a reputation the Board has. Many aristocrats and nobles have done their very best as a last-ditch effort before defamation to besmirch the Board's name to all they know. As some of them have been proven guilty of ignoring their duties for the lower castes, or "discs" as Pilarites call them, a few have as well been proven innocent.
A common fear of the Board is that they violate themselves the Strictures of Pillar. As stricture seven of the fourth disc states: "Clerics and priests of their faith must not use the word of their deities against their flock. A cleric of a priest will not chase after political power through religious means." It would be arguably the easiest to acquire some political leverage through working with the Board, as it is said that the Board holds plenty of dark secrets of the aristocracy and nobility in their vast archives.

As the faith of Pilarism had brought stability and many good things in the world, it was a shock to the Founding Church to learn that all in all, the mad tyrant was still a Pilarite. This proved to be enough evidence for an organisation such as the Board to be created.
