Tash'Valar

The world of Tash'Valar is one of disparate climates, nations and peoples. From the central mountains of the Heavens Heights, to the deepest depths of the Empty Sea conflict rules across the face of the world.   The 7 kingdoms of Ascalia constantly vie for control over their small portion of of the continent, politicking and scheming nobles promoting their own goals over that of their peoples. Even without their questionable machinations, the kingdoms of Ascalia are threatened from without. Attacks by monstrosities and inhuman beings are frequent, and the people cower behind their walls in fear.   On the continent of Elwei, the Empire of a Thousand Banners continues its inexorable progression of assimilating the other nations under its rule. The Dwarvish Daimyo of the Empire aggressively expand at their Emperors behest, believing that forced unity is preferable to divided defeat. The tribes of Shedu and the Devuthian Dynasty maintain their independence, although it may only be a matter of time before they succumb to the Empire's pressure.   The coasts of the Dancing Expanse are constantly raided by the Jarlkyn, an enormous fleet of Elvish pirates who take what they want and burn what they cannot carry back to their ships. These raiders claim rights over the land and quote ancient enmities with the nations of both Ascalia and Elwei.   And deep within the world, ancient beings stir and toss in their eternal slumber. Their power leaks through the Divine Barricade, bringing new evils and boons in equal measure.   Now, more than ever, individuals are needed to steer the course of the world and inspire the people of Tash'Valar to be more than the sum of their parts.
