Indignation
Indignation is a Red Fonstone embedded rapier given to Ken Ashcore by his mentor Jacque when he turned of age, without knowledge of the significance of a fonstone into an object. Over time, Ken discovered that the fonstone reacted to his thoughts, words, and certain emotions, and quickly put together that there was 'life' in the fonstone.
Ken has not spoken to anyone about the bonding process, or why the sword has abilities unseen to much of Tariel during his time period. Like other fonic items, Ken speaks incantations to activate its active abilities, ending each with the item's name.
Indignation has three known abilities when bonded to Ken:
- Active 1: Lightning Bolt Spell from the tip of the sword (7 Charges, recharges at dawn)
Incantation: Oh righteous will, strike back into those who bear fault! Indignation! - Passive 1: Lightning Reflexes: When rolling for initiative, add your proficiency bonus.
- Active 2: Indignation: Range of 80 ft. Divine red lightning that strikes in a 20ft square for 10d12 radiant damage. Costs Ken 20 HP to cast, with the ability to take increments of 10 additional HP for extra dice of damage. Single use, Recharges at dawn.
Incantation: Oh freedom's blade, lend me your passionate rage in the form of divine lightning! This ends now! Indignation! - Passive 2: Unknown
