The International Culinary Mastery
"While I prefer to learn a culture through it's music or clothing, I must admit, enjoying a good meal is one of the most immediately satisfying ways of learning." - Tiber Sectum, golden Dragonlord scholar
The International Culinary Mastery (ICM) is an encyclopedia of every known recipe every created by the multiple races, nations, ethnicities, and cultures of Targonia. The ICM's first draft came to existence after the formation of Targonia was recognized, and the exchange of information was commonplace between the races. There is no author of the ICM, though future renditions of the manual falls on the responsibility of the Ministry of Culture in Revellon, as the contents were originally added by those invested by the prospected of shared knowledge, and they shared the recipes unique to their nation or culture for other nations and cultures to learn from. There are over 100,000 unique entries and all of which is available to the public for commoners to practice making in their own time. While the document itself is not precisely important to the daily runnings of Targonia, it is significant since its one of the many documents that encouraged the formation of Targonia to be accepted by the other races 1500 years ago. It encouraged races to record history using the Targonian calendar, to actively participate in international affairs, and to record certain aspects of their existence, and the ICM records the culinary recipes.
Purpose
The ICM is an encyclopedia of every known culinary recipe found in all of Targonia. It was created to officially recognize and celebrate multiple races, nations, backgrounds, and cultures through the art of culinary practice.
Document Structure

The ICM is divided into 10 chapters which are the recognized nations in Targonia, and it features an introduction explaining the use and purpose of this book. Each chapter also has sub-chapters which are divided by the notable races found within that nation's population, and each sub-chapter then has the culinary recipe as an entry to the sub-chapter matched to the race that claimed to have created it. Within those entries are the culinary recipes which are ordered alphabetically.
Publication Status
The ICM is available to be printed and used throughout Targonia
Legal status
The original ICM dating all the way back to Targonia's formation is found in the Targonian Museum in the capital city of Grandzam in Revellon, and its the responsibility of the Ministery of Culture to update the ICM with new recipes when the need arises.
Historical Details
Background
When the formation of Targonia was underway, a new era of information began to brew, as isolated races began to share information with each other. The International Culinary Mastery is one such example of this exchange of knowledge that is specifically created to collection the recipes the races have created in their respective cultures and ethnicities. In many ways, the ICM marks the beginning of the international community that doesn't involve geopolitics.
Public Reaction
The ICM has been met with resounding positive reviews, as many races believed that their recipes opened the insights of their respective cultures. Isolated or small cultures could now be recognized outside the immediate area, and it opens dialogue about the dozens of unique and varrying cultures found throughout Targonia. And its also an enthralling experience to try out new recipes since most races universally agree that the best way to introduce a person to a new culture is through good food.
Legacy
The ICM, while not the one to spark the movement, but bolstered it, encouraged the races to record certain aspects of their history, land and culture, and share that with the rest of the world. It encouraged isolated and rare cultures to be a bit more vocal and be united with the other races to ensure a longing peace and a sense of identity.
