T'arce

(World in progress for a developing RPG)   A land created by Gods and their children, T'arce is a vast and diverse world of natural beauty and technological marvels.   In the East, gods and peoples living together have pushed development into a mechanical age, while the harsh religious rule in the West has kept its people with little advancement at all. The divisions between the Gods and their lands is reflected in the peoples of the world; humans, elves, dwarves, and silfs, who have long lived in peace in the East, but war in the West.   Much of the West's trouble lies in the expansion of the New Church, which lead a rebellion against the Old Gods and has enforced strict laws to maintain its control. Their control of the land's magics and much of the lands wealth prevents an uprising, while their outreach and promise of protection draws more to their cause.
