Humans make up nearly half of the world's population. They are natural leaders and are capable of excelling in any area. Humans also have a natural aptitude for picking up odd skills.

Naming Traditions

Last names are usually from the patriarchal line, with women adopting the last name of their husbands when married.

Gender Ideals

While there was a traditional male-preference in the Terran Empire the new age of industrial technology has started movements to shed old gender laws and customs. While this isn't the case everywhere, many places have begun to adopt a more egalitarian perspective on gender.

Relationship Ideals

Humans will work well with each other barring any external political pressure. Humans are social but not overly gregarious.

Culture and Cultural Heritage

Humans have natural leadership qualities and are found in nearly every settlement except for the most xenophobic areas. Humans form all sorts of governments, from cooperatives to dictatorships. The most common is a form of monarchy with oligarchy followed behind. Compared to Elves and Dwarves, Human communities expand and contract nearly at will. This causes the long lived races to view them with alarm as a continent-wide empire may form and disappear in merely a century.

Interspecies Relations and Assumptions

Humans can be found living alongside with any other race. Due to their generalness they can adapt to any area to suit their needs and comfort. Given time, Humans will move to and occupy all manners of climates and locations, except for underwater.
