Chancellor Calius Oclinius
The imperial chancellor, a gifted savant who has risen to the head of the imperial adminstratum. Oclinius interprets the will of the emperor and sees that it is carried out. He also acts as gatekeeper to the imperial family and controls the flow of information in and out of the imperial palace.

The second son of a noble family, Oclinio demonstrated exceptional accademic skill and sharp wits, often to the annoyance of his tutors. Appointed to the administratum's procurement office he rapidly solved every problem presented to him. He was moved to the senate liason office where he demonstrated considerable skill in keeping various demanding senators in check. This brought him to the attention of the palace, and say him brought in as a senior political advisor, and then later, chancellor.
