Géographie

A keen observer would note that Icios, the island home of the Thorr, centaur, and satyr, is composed of two main islands, with the larger one divided into three distinct countries: Atlatis in the north, Asterma in the southwest, and Asaka in the southeast. Asaka, known as one of the main counterparts of Thorr, boasts a warm and fragrant air, with vast starch fields and vineyards covering most of the country. Short grass meadows and groves of spice trees also dot the landscape. In contrast, Asterma, belonging to the satyrs, is a wilder land with natural flower fields and a robust underground composition. Heading north, one can find a small desert, a result of the cataclysm surrounding the local mountain range.   To the north of Asterma lies the cold country of Atlatis, where the majority of centaurs reside. This region is known for its frigid temperatures and cavernous terrain, with remnants of sunken cities hidden in the permafrost, waiting to be rediscovered and explored.   Lastly, there is the islet of Pexeusm, which serves as the second home of the Thorr and the religious nerve center of the island. Pexeusm is a perfect blend of all the regions found in the main island of Icios, and it boasts the highest concentration of prayer hotels and temples in the entire archipelago. It is a place of spiritual significance for the Thorr and plays a crucial role in their faith and culture.

Faune et Flore

In the realm of fauna, Icios boasts a unique and fascinating array of creatures unlike anywhere else in the world. The island's ultra-fauna is predominantly composed of chimaeras, natural beings formed through the magical fusion of various animals. Over the course of a millennium, these extraordinary creatures have seamlessly integrated into the island's ecosystem, occupying diverse niches as carnivorous herbivores or omnivores. Remarkably, some chimaera species have evolved to survive without the need for traditional feeding, with theories suggesting that they directly consume the mystical weave that permeates the island. In addition to the chimaeras, Icios is also home to a conventional fauna that includes familiar species such as pumas, giant tortoises, marble-horned goats, and many others. However, it is the flora of Icios that truly captivates the senses. The island's rich and diverse plant life is a testament to its fertile lands, with aromatic and spicy plants cultivated in abundance each year. Mighty trees like cedar, oak, and midacin form sprawling forests across the plains, while various flowers, including violets and storm giants, release their unmistakable fragrances into the air.   Yet, it is the legendary bloody vine that has gained widespread renown for Icios. This unique plant is a key ingredient in the creation of "icor," one of the most esteemed alcohols among the island's bourgeoisie. The cultivation and utilization of this prized vine is a significant aspect of Icios' cultural and economic identity, adding to the allure of this remarkable island's natural wonders.

Ressources Naturelles

The bountiful natural resources of Icios are as diverse as they are plentiful. The island's primary industries revolve around vineyards and fisheries, which are vital for its economy. Additionally, the cultivation of starch and dried fruit, as well as the production of high-quality textiles, contribute significantly to the island's resource wealth. Furthermore, due to its strategic location as a major sea-crossing point, Icios serves as a hub for exotic products from various continents, adding to its vibrant trade and commerce. The flora of Icios is a treasure trove of spices and flowers, as well as soft but durable trees that are utilized for construction materials. The island is also known for its production of bronze, coal, and salt, which further contribute to its natural resources.   In terms of fauna, Icios is renowned for the exceptional quality of animal leather, known for its durability and resistance. The island also harvests shells from underwater life, including pearl farms that yield precious gems.
