The taxation is quite low for what it should be, which is leading the settlement to slowly deteriorate.

Organization

The guards are paid what the city can afford, usually a few silver per day, and if an arrest is made a gold piece. Seems to keep them on the look out at least. The outskirts of the city is used for farming, requiring labor. Labor comes from the poor and the illiterates. The trading is somehow still alive with some traders, blacksmiths, and farmers who still show up.

Defences

A large wall surrounding the vicinity, leaving the farms, and part of the overgrown / poor parts of the city on the outside, multiple watchtowers, 6 gates around the wall, and guards to keep watch. Most of the mechanisms are really old and unsafe.

Industry & Trade

Imports: food, clothes, medical supplies, minerals. Exports: Raw materials, such as wood, wool, wheat and flower. Commodities such as beer, nails, horseshoes, and furniture.

Infrastructure

The city has sewers, and multiple castle wells spread around the city. There are multiple capinters, blacksmiths and farming facilities around the city too. However, mostly all of the blacksmiths do not work with weapons and armour, most work with the production of nails and horse shoes.

Guilds and Factions

Hidden Daggers: A group of thieves who are quite troublesome. Griffin's Heart: A guild that focuses on helping the community. Branded Shields: A mercenary group. Strange Brew: A group of alchemists.

History

The past rulers of the kingdom runned it to the ground blinded by their greed.

Tourism

The city is filled with ins, bars and markets, however most are depricated due to the struggling economy, therefore not many tourists pass thorugh here. However, those who do, are pleased with the welcoming nature of the city, a city filled with people who don't have much more to lose.

Architecture

Old tall walls that vines and moss have overgrown them. Old houses made of wood and white dirty stone stacked on top of one with their hay rooftops barely being seen over the top of the walls. While tents, old wooden shacks, and unkempt wells surround the walls closely; and wheat, wood and charcoal farms go as far as the forest allows them to go.

Geography

They live in fertile land, in a grass planes, many rolling hills, the fresh water is gotten via lake and the rain.
