MATRIX bio-reactive armor

The bio-reactive armor is an algae based colony creature that bonds with the agent assigned to wear the suit at the time. As it is algae-based, it reacts to the agent, reforming into the appearance – and feel – of different types of clothing. This allows the agent to change at a moment’s notice into appropriate dress for each occasion. When in combat however, the suit envelops the agent, covering every literal part of the agent’s body. This provides the maximum protection available to the wearer. This is an instinctive defensive reaction for the suit, as its primary motivation is to guard and protect the agent – which is the symbiotic host for the suit. The better the health of the agent, the better health the suit enjoys.   The suit augments the agent's natural abilities and skills, providing super normal strength, unique powers based on the suit type, and a 'mimeo-graphic learning' ability allowing the suit - and as such the agent wearing the suit - to rapidly learn skills by merely observing them. The skill is learned at the level of ability of the target being observed. Once the suit has enabled the agent to learn the new skill, the agent may then improve upon the skill to a higher degree through practice and training.   The drawback to this mimic learning, is that the suit cannot learn natural powers and abilities, such as energy generation, or spontaneously generate claws or spines by observing them.   Once one member of MATRIX has observed a skill, it can be transferred to the other team members via training to allow one suit to ‘learn’ from another.   Beyond the mimic learning, the suits each have a unique color and base set of abilities, designed to compliment one another.   Vulnerabilities in the MATRIX bio-suits   The one flaw in the bio-reactive suit, is that the creature is vulnerable to a certain high-frequency tones. In general, intense pulses of high-frequency sonic bursts directed at the suit itself, makes the suit uncomfortable which reduces the abilities it grants to the wearer. The wearer will have to rely on their own skills at that point. If the wearer and suit remain the target of the sonic attack for longer than 5 minutes, the suit loses cohesion and the wearer will fall unconscious as a side effect of being symbiotically attached to the suit.
